Camping la Pointe St Gilles is an exceptional site set directly opposite a sandy beach and close to the bustling resort of Bénodet. This is a lively site with impressive facilities - including an exciting pool complex and a brand new wellness centre. Unwind on the sun terraces surrounding the pools or in the inviting jacuzzi.
Most of the emplacements here are grassy and are divided by trees and tall hedges, which provide privacy, shade and plenty of space for the children to play.
The friendly atmosphere of the bar is a good place to relax in the evening and throughout the season you can join in with the entertainment programme, which caters for families of all ages. Venture off site to explore the hidden coves and rock pools which adorn this rugged coastline.

From the north:
leave the N165 at ‘Quimper Centre’ exit for Pont l’Abbé (this is about 0.5 miles after the exit for ‘Quimper Nord’).
Pass an E.Leclerc hypermarket on the right hand side as you leave the dual carriageway.
Follow signs for Pont L’Abbé/Bénodet/Fouesnant through a series of roundabouts around Quimper.
Leaving Quimper on the D34 to Bénodet/Fouesnant you pass a large Géant Casino hypermarket on your right.
Go straight on at the roundabout after the hypermarket.
Turn right at the next roundabout.
Follow signs for Bénodet until come to a roundabout on the edge of Bénodet.
Do not head for the town but turn left to Concarneau/Fouesnant.
About 1 mile on, turn right down Route de Letty at a small roundabout.
Camping de la Pointe de St Gilles is signposted from here.
After 400yds the road bends sharply to the right.
Follow this road for about 500yds & take the next left where the road bends to the right.
From the south on the N165 towards Quimper:
after you pass the exit for Pont Aven you’ll reach the exit at Coat-Conq for Concarneau/Fouesnant/Bénodet.
Follow onto the D70.
After about 0.5 miles turn right onto the D44 to Fouesnant/La Forêt Fouesnant. About 1.5 miles further, turn right onto the D783.
Continue on the D44 to Bénodet.
Before you reach Bénodet you cross the river, you’ll reach a roundabout - take the left exit for Letty.
Follow the road for 0.5 miles then take the right hand turn for route de Cenvez.
The campsite is signposted from here.

Camping la Pointe St Gilles is just a twenty minute walk along the coast from Bénodet, where you will find a yacht harbour and a delightful town with cafés and restaurants. There is a small and sandy beach opposite the site and two others within walking distance.
Take a boat trip to the Glénan Isles from Bénodet, while there join a glass bottom boat trip from the isle of Saint-Nicolas. Océanopolis is a vast aquarium and sea life centre located in Brest. It is the main research centre in France for marine life - there are thousands of varieties of fish and sea life including sharks and penguins.
