Ideal for a first holiday in France, La Bien Assise is set in the parklands of a graceful chateau, on the outskirts of the market town of Guines. It is a member of the prestigious Castels chain and has a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere.

The owners have converted the former chateau stables to house the shop and bar and the restaurant’s menu really is a gourmet’s delight. There’s also a well maintained swimming pool with a retractable roof, waterchute and a popular children’s play area. Traffic from the road can sometimes be heard.

A few minutes from the parc is the Forest of Guines which is easily explored by foot and bike. Visit Wimereux with its wide beach and good restaurants, or Calais with an excellent range of shops and hypermarkets. The old walled town of Boulognesur-Mer is thirty minutes away, where you can visit Nausicaa, Europe’s largest sea-life centre featuring live sharks.

The main feature of the Supernova is the fully-fitted open-plan kitchen and lounge. It's designed to create the impression that the lounge/dining area is a separate living space to maximise space and light. The lounge has a light modern decor with everything provided from a framed picture on the wall to a stereo radio-cassette.
