Set in parkland on the banks of the River Aisne, this beautiful parc really has the 'wow' factor, with its profusion of colourful flowers at the entrance, leading to an immaculate, well-laid out site.
La Croix du Vieux Pont offers visitors a real choice: either stay on parc and make the most of the excellent range of facilities on offer, or use the site as a base from which to enjoy the best of the local French countryside or the theme parks.
The 3 lakes offer all different kinds of fun. Hire pedaloes and canoes on the first, splash and swim safely in the second and try your hand at fishing in the third. Children of all ages are well-catered for with the indoor splash pool and shallow lake for the toddlers, to the deeper indoor and outdoor swimming pools with fast slides for the older ones.
Subject to demand, the site's own coach runs twice a week to Disneyland and Paris (subject to demand), making it an easy way to see these famous sites. If getting around and about locally is your thing then hire bikes from the parc and do a circuit - a great way to see the surrounding area.

1 mile - Supplies all your immediate shopping needs, with the larger towns of Soissons, 7 miles and Compiegne, 10 miles, the site of the Armistice Treaty signing, and the Royal Palace of Louis XIV, worth visiting.
Pierrefonds
12 miles - You can’t go to France without seeing a château, and this is a good choice, with lovely surroundings.
Parc Astérix
50 miles - Get into some ancient ‘gaul’-ish action at the Astérix adventure park, and try getting your tongue around all those ‘ix’ names.
